About Julien Peyras

Julien Peyras runs GAEC La Dame Jeanne in Paulhan, Hérault — a domaine built on respect for nature and a love of good bottles. His vines are farmed without synthetic products: the soil is worked with green fertilisers and cover crops including field beans, rye, phacelia and wheat, and the vines are tended with natural preparations such as nettle tea, comfrey tea and horsetail tea. The range is broad and varied — from the sparkling Les Pétillantes in 100% Clairette to blends like Dolce Vita and Madame la Rouge, to the pure varietal Syrah Nostra. Each wine is an expression of a specific parcel, soil type and vintage. Common to all: indigenous yeasts, no additives, no added sulphites and handling by gravity only. Madame la Rouge is the most unique cuvée — a blend of Syrah and Grenache from 2014 (aged in barrique) and Syrah, Carignan, Grenache and Cinsault from 2022. A vinified journey through time.
